Associate of Science
This program prepares the student with a broad college background and skill and knowledge in chemistry to transfer to a four-year institution. Graduates may earn a Bachelor’s degree and prepare for graduate training in many scientific fields.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will:
- Demonstrate the ability to interconvert between names and structures for inorganic and organic molecules.
- Apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to solve problems quantitatively.
- Correlate bonding and structure with function and reactivity models for inorganic, organic and biomolecules.
- Communicate the results of safely conducted chemical experiments.
